How is he a phony?? He is a human being..subject to error as we all are. The hope is that we all can learn from our errors and grow into who we hope to be. All of this shines through in his music, he is an awesome musician and his best albums are when he is honest with himself e.g. "A day in the life of Eric Benet" and this current album "Love and Life". Also take a moment and realize what a beautiful and seemingly intelligent and sincere daughter he has raised as a single father before u judge

I'm not being judgemental, his actions speak for themselves. What kind of deadbeat cheats on his WIFE with one of her friends and then during the divorce has the nerve to ask for child support. That daughter of his is not Halle's so what did he want her to pay child support for? He is just as famous as Halle and has the talent and ability to make his own money.

...He is sorry and before he stuck his whack dick in one of Halle's( who at the time was his wife) friends his first thought should've been "what if some tired excuse for a man did the same thing to my daughter". Yes he is talented and I loved the album "A Day in the life" but you just don't treat people like that that you claim to love and have vowed to share your life with, end of story!

Make no mistake, I in NO way am defending his actions adultery is always wrong in all circumstances and obviously some of the decisions he made during the divorce process were made out of confusion, anger and sorrow but he did not follow through with those once he came to his senses and realized his fault in it all. My only point is that the man should be given the opportunity in life to redeem himself in the eyes of God and before his fans. Which you were one of at some point.
